Macallan Rare Cask Black

A Macallan with a surprisingly distinctive attitude, Rare Cask Black is a whisky unluke any other Macallan today. Less thatn 100 casks maturing at The Macallan distsillery have conftributed to the creation of this out of character whisky. These mysterious casks remained untouched in the dark warehouses of The Macallan under the watchful eye of Master Whisky Maker, until it was ready to be released.

This whisky tells a different story of The Macallan spirit and casks, but more than that it tells a story of rarity. Smoky Macallan is rare, there is very little in existance and once used these casks will be no more. Unexpectedly and distinctively smoky in flavour with full bodied richness fromm the Macallan spirit, Rare Cask Black combines dried fruits, nutmeg, ginger and beautifully polished oak plus dates, figs and raisins, which is heavy but sweet. A dry smokiness reveals itself yielding to softer oak tones. The finish is long, fruity with an elegant wood smoke.
