Machetazo Espadin is made with agave Espadin in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Espadin is the mostly commonly used agave in Oaxaca as it’s more resistant to weather and pests, and it can also be more easily cultivated in comparison to other agave. That said, the agave Espadin used by Machetazo still take 8-12 years to reach maturity. This mezcal has subtle floral notes with a light spicy finish.
